Meet the Green Camp Team!

Conor McMullan – Program Director

Teaching and facilitating outdoor and environmental education programs has been a passion of Conor’s for the past 15 years.  Living in Vancouver, Canada, he has been fortunate to have access to an amazing outdoor classroom. Traveling from the rivers and ocean to the nearby mountains, has confirmed his belief in the power of direct experience in shaping the way people see the world and themselves. In addition to Outdoor and Environmental Education, Conor has taught History, Geography, Global Studies and PE at both the elementary and secondary levels.  During his teaching career, he has dedicated much of his energy towards organizing and leading international service trips in developing countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. And while most of his work in education has been based at the high school level, he has also greatly enjoyed developing and instructing courses in Outdoor Environmental Education for pre-service teachers at the University of British Columbia. This has been a rewarding experience and has helped him better appreciate the endless opportunities for integrating outdoor education across the curriculum. Conor is a firm believer that we care most about those things that we know deeply. He, along with his wife and 2 sons, are very excited about joining the Green School community to share in the process of building meaningful experiences in and about the environment.

Carolina Bergier – Marketing and Social Media

Carolina decided to leave Brazil as soon as she got to know about the Green Camp project. She then knocked on our door (that actually doesn´t exist… knocked on our bamboo structure) and we knew she was the one for the job. Not only because of her background in marketing for kids, several years as a camp instructor and past experiences in permaculture, but mainly due to her passion for the work we´ve been doing. She´s now focused on Green Camp marketing and social media, but runs to help out and have fun with the kids every spare moment she has.
