Green Camp Bali's mission is to enhance students' knowledge of, passion for and self-confidence in the natural environment, through hands-on learning and outdoor adventure.
Built in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem, Green Camp Bali is situated adjacent to Green School’s stunning 8 hectare campus spanning the Ayung River. Students spend enthralling days and nights surrounded by our organic gardens, set amongst Bali’s natural rain forest. Our Lead Facilitators - both raised and qualified in New Zealand and in Bali - provide a safe, unique, inspirational hands-on learning experience, complementing existing international school curriculums.
Our programs include: - Confidence, Team and Leadership Building - The Amazing Race and other challenges. - Environmental Education - including night safaris and river ecology. - Community Service - including contributing to and helping maintain the local environment through hands-on community service. - Green Design and Building - including bamboo rafts and bridges. - Renewable Energies - including solar cooking and micro-hydro electricity. - Eco-living - including organic cooking, making chocolate, cooking in our Bali-style pizza ovens. - Sustainable Agriculture - experiencing first hand all stages of the rice cycle and the wonders of Bali’s Subak irrigation system. - Cultural Expression - including learning Balinese Gamelan music, the Kecak dance, natural wearable arts, shadow puppets and the incredible Mepantigan, a traditional performing arts workshop.
We are just 40 minutes from Bali’s international airport and 20 minutes from Ubud, the cultural capital of Bali. Green Camp Bali's accommodation is in our unique yurt village - bamboo tents with thatched alang-alang roof. Green Camp Bali has a doctor-in-residence and is located within 35 minutes of an internationally recognised medical center.
